Samsung to Launch 1GB MMC Mobile Card

Samsung plans to roll out a 1GB MMC (Multi Media Card) mobile card next month, capable of accommodating 500 five-megapixel photos, three high-quality QVGA (Quarter Video Graphics Array) movies and 250 MP3 titles. With a form factor of 24 x 18x1.4 square millimeters and dual-voltage support for 1.8/3.3V, the card offers double transmission speed. The card will go on sale with Samsung's camera-use 1GB/2GB MMC Plus cards.
